All About Me

As an active performer and thoughtful educator, Dr. Yuri Noh has expanded her musical knowledge and artistic experience through participation in numerous music festivals, performances, and competitions around the world, including in Germany, Italy, Korea, and the United States of America.

 

Dr. Noh is a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching and working with students. Currently, she is a faculty member teaching violin and viola at the University of the Incarnate Word and McLennan Community College since 2022. Prior to the positions, she served as a string orchestra instructor at the Immaculate Conception Catholic school in Denton and was the director of the Wise Youth String Ensemble in Bridgeport. Many of her students have been accepted to the All-State Orchestra, All-Region Orchestra, and Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, and received Exemplary and Superior ratings in the Solo and Ensemble Contest. Several students in her studio have also received acceptance letters and scholarships from music schools in Korea and the United States. 

As an active performer, she is currently concertmaster of the Incarnate Word Orchestra and serves as a substitute performer for the Temple Symphony and Abilene Philharmonic. Dr. Noh has also served as a section violinist in several orchestras, including the Lewisville Lake Symphony, Richardson Symphony, Monroe Symphony, and International Lyric Academy. She was invited to serve as a concertmaster in professional orchestras in the USA and Italy.  

 

Her first solo debut was with Daejin Orchestra in Korea, and since then she has performed at various venues such as Giardino del Teatro Olimpico and Teatro Comunale in Italy, and Charles W. Eisemann Center, Moody Performance Hall, and Meyerson Symphony in the USA. Recently, she even performed as a winner of the International Music Competition at Carnegie Hall in New York.
 

Dr. Yuri Noh received her Doctoral and Master’s degrees in Violin Performance, Early Music, and Orchestral Conducting from the University of North Texas, where she was the recipient of numerous scholarships and earned a bachelor’s degree from Daejin University in South Korea. She is also a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda and American National Music Honor Society, demonstrating her accomplishments and dedication to the field.
